Interested in health care from an early age, Ms Hahn was drawn to the practice of coding, emphasizing that she enjoyed learning about the medical field but preferred to work within a non-clinical role. In 2015 she began her tenure as an inpatient coder for Northwell Health after completing a Northwell-sponsored intensive four-month training at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn and a subsequent internship with Northwell. In her position, Ms Hahn is responsible for inpatient coding for multiple hospitals within the Northwell system.
Ms. Hahn has received recognition from Northwell as an exceptional employee and team player. She appreciates this acknowledgement of a path that has been difficult but personally rewarding. She finds the field of coding to be interesting and challenging.
Previously Ms. Hahn obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Russian Civilization from the University of California, Irvine.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Hahn intends to continue to grow as a coder and explore other roles within the coding field.
