Drawing upon a wealth of inspiration from his father, an electrical engineer and the owner of Applied Electronics Technology, Mr. Culbertson has excelled as an electrical test engineer for BIT Group since 2009. Channeling the hands-on experience he garnered while working with his father in high school, he assists in generating and refining system documentation, attends and participates in design reviews, and builds up prototypes, complex systems wire harnesses, text fixtures and adapters for proofing circuits. During his tenure with BIT Group, Mr. Culbertson has participated in numerous notable projects such as Torrey Pines, and current projects, including Buffalo, Tama, Fuji and Onyx.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Culbertson refined his expertise in management in the medical, avionics and aerospace industries as a supervisor and test engineer in engineering avionics for Rogerson Kratos, an FAA service engineer in electronics repair and maintenance avionics for Transdigital Communications Corporation and a senior electronics technician for Rockwell Collins. Earlier in his career, he fostered his skills in design, troubleshooting, cabling and system software integration with Thales Avionics and Babcock Incorporated. Despite his extensive industry experiences and educational background, Mr. Culbertson is most proud of his experience with Applied Electronics Technology during the late 1970s.
An expert in his field, Mr. Culbertson earned an electronics technology certificate and an Associate of Arts in electronics technology from Orange Coast College in 2004. He remains aware of ongoing changes in the industry through his professional alignment with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. In the coming years, Mr. Culbertson intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career within BIT Group.
