Jeanne Clougher Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Law

Ms. Clougher has flourished as a lawyer after many years as a business owner

SEFFNER, FL, October 07, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jeanne Clougher has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Clougher began work as a clerk typist. After going into business with her husband's family she became interested in the law and worked with an attorney for that business. Ultimately she filed a law suit that saved that family business on appeal. That role led her to obtain her paralegal degree. Having acquired her father's sense of right and wrong and work ethic, she then decided to attend law school full time while working as a waitress full time. She was able to finish her law degree in 2.5 years. After passing the New York and Florida Bar she opened a practice in New York. Ultimately she moved to Florida and worked as a Senior Assistant Attorney General where she was able to file cases against white collar criminals under forfeiture law. This law allows the government to take illegally gained property from the organizations that acquired it. While a Senior Assistant Attorney General for Florida she was voted AV Preeminent Rated through Martindale-Hubbell and remains so to this day. She enjoyed working with the federal government and the Florida Statewide Prosecutor's Office along with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement special agents, many of whom she remains good friends with to this day. However, after a particularly dangerous case she was involved in a suspicious car accident. She left that position and opened her own small office. Having to live now with partial disabilities and chronic pain she continues practicing to help the working class, who generally skip retaining counsel to protect their businesses. She continues to practice part time to this day.

Ms. Clougher has always been a political activist having studied hoping to bring cases pursuant to the Federal 1983 Civil Rights Actions. She still owns ERA pins from the 80's attempts to pass the amendment. She hopes to retire after the current crisis in our country is successfully quashed.
