Mr. Ramirez is renowned as a retired radiology and lithotripsy technologist with a career spanning more than 40 years of service to his patients. A natural optimist with a deep compassion for others, he has always known that he would pursue a career in which he could be of service to his community. After serving his country as a member of the United States Air Force during the 1970s, he decided to conduct his studies in healthcare after his career assessment test suggested several related options. Mr. Ramirez subsequently obtained Associate of Science degree in radiology and Associate of Arts degree in business administration.
During his time with the United States Air Force, Mr. Ramirez worked in surgery and orthopedics before focusing on lithotripsy. He served part-time in the radiology department of Sacramento's Mercy Hospital for several years before retiring from the Air Force in 1996 as a radiologic technologist. In 1990, Mr. Ramirez received additional training and certification in lithotripsy, becoming appointed as a lithotripsy technologist for Healthtronics the same year. Mr. Ramirez would continue practicing with Healthtronics until his departure in 2016.
In his retirement, Mr. Ramirez is an active member of the Loyal Order of Moose, a fraternal service organization sponsoring scholarship, disaster relief and youth leadership development programs. He attributes his success to his empathy for others, and lives by the Golden Rule, striving to "do unto others as you ought them to do unto you." In the coming years, Mr. Ramirez looks forward to continuing enjoying his life and health to its fullest while supporting his friends and family in their own journeys and creating joy for others in as many ways as he can.
