Supported by nearly 35 years of professional excellence, Mr. Hyde serves as chief executive officer of Oak Mountain Ventures and Consulting, LLC, where he provides consulting services in the areas of strategy, technology and finance. In his final position that capped his government career, he gained valuable expertise at the Department of Defense as the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security. For nearly a decade prior, he served as a senior executive with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), where he worked, primarily abroad, as an operations officer.
Prior to his government service, Mr. Hyde earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Alabama School of Law. Upon graduating law school, he was admitted to practice through the Alabama and American Bar Associations. Later, he furthered his expertise in International Relations, earning a Master of Arts in public policy from Princeton University.
Mr. Hyde serves as a board member for Planet Federal, Acclaim Technology Services and is on the Advisory Boards of a number of other companies. Upon retirement from government, he served as executive director of the University of Alabama Cyber Institute. In recognition of his outstanding body of work, he received a Defense Department Award, a Meritorious Civilian Service Award and a Distinguished Career in Intelligence Medal from the CIA. In 2018, he was selected as a "Significant Sig," a significant alumnus of the Sigma Chi Social Fraternity.
