Before returning to school for cosmetology, Ms. Sauls worked as a food and beverage outlet manager for Hilton Savannah DeSoto from 2011 to 2012, and as an assistant restaurant manager for The Mansion on Forsyth Park between 2006 and 2010. One of her first roles in the field was that of operations supervisor for Savannah Secret Gardens between 2000 and 2007. It was after many years of working in the restaurant industry that she decided to pursue a career of which she was passionate. As a child, she frequently did her siblings' hair, as well as their makeup for Halloween. Following these experiences, it felt natural for her to move into the beauty industry.

An expert in her field, Ms. Sauls received a master's degree in 2012, as well as an eyebrow certification and a Novalash certification. A champion of her community, she gives back during her spare time to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
