Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Ms. Haggerty was naturally creative as a child. She subsequently obtained a Master of Arts in Italian language and literature from the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University and enrolled in a makeup course at Natalia Naida Makeup School, which is noted as one the best makeup schools in Kyiv. After taking the course, Ms. Haggerty reignited her passion for makeup artistry and began working as a freelance artist on various projects in the beauty industry and at private events such as weddings.
After winning several silver and bronze medals at competitions, including the Kyiv National Makeup Competition, Ms. Haggerty relocated to Los Angeles, where her career began to gain momentum. Focusing on lip art as a creative outlet, she attracted much attention on Instagram soon thereafter, which led to a partnership with Smashbox Cosmetics, a beauty brand owned by Estée Lauder Companies, to develop a range of cosmetic products and lip art campaigns. Ms. Haggerty also briefly served as the lip editor-in-chief for Smashbox Cosmetics.
Ms. Haggerty currently excels as a full-time makeup artist, photographer and lip artist in Los Angeles. She has also launched a website (Lip Art Shop www.lipart.shop) where she independently sells her lip art designs as photo prints, on canvas and on clothing, accessories and home décor to countless customers all over the world. Over the years, Ms. Haggerty has been incredibly proud of her ability to carve out her own, innovative niche in the beauty community.
With her various forms of art, Ms. Haggerty strives to keep her work original with each new piece that she creates. She has earned much recognition through online and print publications around the world, including Harper's BAZAAR Ukraine, Vogue México, Vogue India, Cosmopolitan and Refinery29. In 2017, Ms. Haggerty co-hosted her first gallery show with Colin and Sas Christian at AFA Gallery in New York City.
Throughout her career, Ms. Haggerty has attributed her professional success to consistency. She also cites the support that she has received from friends and family over the years as a key to her success. Ms. Haggerty has been grateful to have found the beauty within her art.
