With decades of gemological experience to his credit, Mr. Carroll first garnered inspiration for choosing his profession after his appointment as a sales representative for Cartier. Immediately, he exhibited a penchant for diamonds, gems, jewelry and the client base seeking to purchase these types of items. After serving the aforementioned company for 18 years, he resolved to ascend the upper echelons of additional jeweling businesses and eventually founded his own wholesaler.
Prior to his success in the jewelry industry, Mr. Carroll initially enrolled at the University of California and earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics in 1984. After 30 years of professional service, he decided to obtain formal edification in gemology. By 2013, he had relocated to New York and attained a degree in diamond and colored stone grading from the Gemological Institute of America Incorporated. He has since become a certified gemologist in diamonds and colored stones.
Throughout his tenure, Mr. Carroll has contributed his expertise to numerous corporations. He served as the East Coast regional director at Cartier from 1987 to 2002. From 2002 to 2005, Mr. Carroll was active as the East Coast regional and fine jewelry director at Bulgari. Subsequently, he worked as the director of Graff from 2005 to 2007. From 2007 to 2011, Mr. Carroll managed daily operations at Chopard as the West Coast regional director. Currently, he excels as the proprietor of WDC III (also known as Wholesale Diamond Company), and simultaneously held the post of director at Circa until 2017. At WDC III, he specializes in the buying and selling of diamonds, colored stones, watches, and antique and modern jewelry.
Mr. Carroll attributes his success to perseverance, determination and a desire to strengthen his skillset within his industry. His passion for gems and fine jewelry have helped him cultivate a lauded reputation one of the country's finest jewelers. He plans to expand the influence of his agency and continue learning about gemology in the near future.
