Dr. Han is a clothing and textiles expert and educator celebrating more than a decade of innovative performance textile research and garment design. Her interest in the field began during her undergraduate studies at Ewha Womans University, and she eventually chose to major in clothing and textiles, graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor after earning three scholarships for academic excellence. Dr. Han found that her passion for the industry only grew as she studied, and she continued her education at Seoul National University, earning a Master of Science in Clothing and Textiles in 2011 and a Doctor of Philosophy in textiles, merchandising and fashion design in 2016.
Prof. Han has worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Ewha Womans University and has conducted lectures at prestigious universities such as Ewha Womans University, Korea University, Sungshin University, The University of Suwon, Myongji College, Yong-In Songdam College etc.
Currently, Dr. Han holds the position of Department chair and assistant professor and at Seoul Culture Arts University and is responsible for hundreds of students. And, Prof. Han conducted a sincere study of clothing studies.
Prof. Han is a reviewer for the Textile Research Journal(SCI), and her research, which focuses on the properties and applications of next-generation fibers and textile treatments, has been extensively published in professional journals. Her experimental and fine arts garments have been included in shows at the MCM HAUS Flagship Gallery and the Seoul Baekje Museum, and she has been invited to participate in International FABI Exhibitions, KOSCO Exhibitions and the Fifth STFI Digital Fashion Exhibition, etc. Dr. Han attributes her success to her consistency and dedication to her field, and plans to continue teaching and researching for many years.
