PORTSMOUTH, VA, October 29, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Samantha Story has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As a licensed massage therapist in the State of Virginia and the City of Chesapeake, Ms. Story practices a wide range of massage techniques as the owner of Body & Mind Therapeutic Oasis. Operating out of two locations, she provides Cayce Reilly therapeutic massages, acupressure, Reiki, hot stone massages, crystal therapy, pre- and perinatal massages, craniosacral palpatation, and reflexology. Additionally, Ms. Story has been trained in numerous holistic health practices, including hydrotherapy, chair massage and meditation.

Outside of her work as a massage therapist, Ms. Story also excelled as an independent consultant with Traveling Vineyard. Between 1993 and 2013, she dedicated herself to the U.S. Navy as an interior communications electrician, first class petty officer, and first line supervisor on the U.S.S. Kearsarge. During her time onboard, Ms. Story led a division of ten in the maintenance, repair and upkeep of more than 12,000 pieces of equipment and honed her skills regarding various kinds of equipment, including entertainment closed circuit television, broadcast television systems and shipboard telephone maintenance, gyrocompass technician MK-27 maintenance and more.

After earning an Associate of Arts from the University of Maryland's University College in 2006, Ms. Story furthered her knowledge in the field in order to best support and assist the bodies and minds of her clients. Over the years, she also earned a Bachelor of Arts in complementary and alternative health from Ashford University in 2013, a certification in massage therapy through the Cayce Reilly School of Massage Therapy in 2014, with a certification in reflexology as well as . In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Ms. Story aligns herself with Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals and the National Association of Professional Women. Looking forward, Ms. Story aims to establish a wellness center.
