Mr. Robbins is the esteemed restaurateur and executive chef behind LN2 Restaurant, a modern gastrolounge in West Hollywood serving creative takes on classic American dishes. Naturally driven and independent from a young age, he learned to cook as a child as a way to cope with his mother's eating disorder. As his skills developed, Mr. Robbins began reading cookbooks and experimenting with techniques, building a foundation of diverse skills and influences that would come to shape the menu at LN2.
Prior to establishing LN2, Mr. Robbins excelled for more than two decades as an executive chef for fine dining concepts around Southern California. He initially served as the executive chef of the Ten Restaurant Group in 1998, followed by a four-year stint with Patina Restaurant Group, developing and executing menu innovations for upscale nightlife, events, and dining venues. In 2005, Mr. Robbins advanced into a corporate executive chef role for Vienna Hofbrau/Falcon on Sunset.
Mr. Robbins would later be appointed as the corporate executive chef for Koros, and Smith Brothers Restaurants, for which he was responsible for a menu reset at the Parkway Grill, a critically-acclaimed Regional American dining room. He established LN2 Restaurant in 2017, combining his veteran perspective and savvy for experiential, on-trend menu design with a playful palate and sense of whimsy. Serving brunch, lunch, and dinner menus with a full complement of molecular gastronomy-inspired liquid-nitrogen cocktails and ice cream dishes, LN2 Restaurant has collected consistently positive reviews from diners and critics, and has become a staple of the area's fine dining scene.
Mr. Robbins was notably recognized as Love Catering's 2016 Caterer of the Year, and continues to prove his skill at executing unique menus for events and venues of all sides by offering catering services through LN2. He attributes his success to a genuine passion for his craft and industry, and is proud to continue to lead a thriving restaurant despite the challenges of the current market. In the coming years, Mr. Robbins looks forward to establishing a new concept, and hopes to own and operate multiple restaurants within five years.
