Louis Parnell Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Acting

Mr. Parnell has acted in more than 100 productions, including "Into the Woods" and "Angels in America"



    SAN FRANCISCO, CA, November 02, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Louis Parnell has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. An actor for more than 50 years, Mr. Parnell has been a film enthusiast since his childhood. After pursuing acting in college, he has channeled his love of the arts into his work as an actor and the director for the San Francisco Playhouse. In addition to his work as the headwaiter for Le Central Bistro, Mr. Parnell has performed in nearly 20 productions, such as "Born Yesterday," "Into the Woods," "Man of La Mancha" and "It Had to Be You," and directed numerous others while also participating on the board of directors for the aforementioned playhouse.

Apart from his primary responsibilities with the San Francisco Playhouse, Mr. Parnell has been active with other Bay Area theatrical entities, including the American Conservatory Theatre, Marin Theatre Company and TheatreWorks Silicon Valley. Driven to remain aware of ongoing changes in the industry in the Bay Area, he is affiliated with the American Federation of Television and Radio Arts, the Screen Actors Guild and the Actors' Equity Association. Moreover, Mr. Parnell has contributed to his community by donating to several arts and animal rights organizations.

During the early years of his acting career, Mr. Parnell obtained an Associate of Arts in drama from the College of Marin. Subsequently, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from the Dominican University of California and a Master of Fine Arts in film, cinema and video studies from San Francisco State University. Throughout his career, he has been honored several times for his excellence in theater, accepting two awards for his work in "Cabaret," five San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Awards and 15 award nominations. Even though his career has been filled with highlights, he is especially proud of appearing in more than 100 productions over the course of his professional ventures and in numerous film, television and commercial roles. In the coming years, Mr. Parnell intends to experience continued growth in the field.
