GRANADA HILLS, CA, November 05, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Raja Bishara Marhaba has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing upon nearly 20 years of expertise in the field of social advocacy, Ms. Marhaba has garnered a lauded reputation as the Founder of The Jonathan Foundation for Children with Learning Disabilities Inc. Established in 2001, the nonprofit organization is notably dedicated to supporting the families of children with special education needs, particularly by enumerating their rights and providing resources that help students succeed. To this end, The Jonathan Foundation offers a Psychoeducational Assessment Scholarship Program, which is overseen by competent and compassionate assessors who set attainable goals and serve as advocates for the enrolled child.

A realtor with, and the owner of, Martec Construction Inc., for which she has earned considerable distinction for her exemplary performance, Ms. Marhaba initially entered the field of student advocacy due to the great sense of responsibility that she harbored for her two sons, who persisted in an education system that was failing to provide adequately for either of them. Feeling lost and uncertain of her options, she became determined to educate herself and transform her powerlessness into a sense of purpose. In the years that followed, Ms. Marhaba has sought to help other families and ensure that this sense of frustration and inequity does not spread.

Prior to embarking upon her professional path, Ms. Marhaba pursued an education at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, from which she earned an Associate of Applied Science in administration in 1984. Exceptionally qualified in her field, she also obtained certification in paralegal studies from the University of California Los Angeles, also completed the Management Development for Entrepreneurs Program from the University of California Los Angeles. In regards to her career in student advocacy, Ms. Marhaba notably graduated from the Special Education Advocate Training Program in 2006, which permitted her to serve as a member of the education panel and committee for the juvenile division of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, a body that represents and fulfill the needs of children who have found themselves in foster care or the legal system.

Among the many highlights of her career, Ms. Marhaba has been incredibly proud to help children who were at risk of falling through the cracks of society and giving themselves over to frustration, ennui or crime. Through her efforts, many of them have advanced into happy and successful lives. Likewise, Ms. Marhaba is overjoyed that both of her sons, who have become involved in the foundation that had she worked so hard to create and sustain.

In accounting for her standout success, Ms. Marhaba credits her propensity for hard work and a certain clarity of vision. She is singularly committed to helping children avoid unnecessary hardship and receive the kind of education that helps them reach their true potential. Highly esteemed for her professional efforts, she has been the recipient of such accolades as the 2016 Enterprising Women of the Year Award, the 2019 L'Oreal Paris Women of Worth Award and most recently, the 2020 Daily Point of Light Award. She was also honored as a 2020 Lady in Red Diamond Rose, which is a recognition bestowed to women who strive to make a difference in the world. Looking toward the future, Ms. Marhaba aspires to expand the reach of her foundation to a more global scope, and perhaps collaborate with agencies such as; the Department of Rehabilitation, Regional Centers, School Police, and School Districts in order to provide more support for children who are struggling.
