Prior to establishing her business, Mrs. Martinez gained valuable expertise in healthcare as the lead medical instructor at Wright Career College and as a Billing/Coding Manager at various healthcare offices.
Between 2011 and 2016, Mrs. Martinez taught a number of classes at Wright, including billing, coding and insurance reimbursement. Though her career has been suffused with highlights, she is especially proud of her pass rates. In regard to the students that take her classes, 100 percent pass the class. Even those that take courses based off her books have a 95 percent pass rate. For Mrs. Martinez, her business is more of a ministry than a calling, so she charges lower rates, which can assist single mothers and other disadvantaged people that cannot afford the higher rates of other businesses.
In pursuit of further knowledge, Mrs. Martinez earned a Bachelor of Science in healthcare administration from Wright Career College in 2015. Throughout the course of her career, she has earned certifications as a professional coder, a coding instructor, a healthcare compliance/auditing officer, and a medical biller. Mrs. Martinez retains her professional alignment with the American Academy of Professional Coders, through which she received a fellowship in 2016, the American Health Information Management Association and the American Institute of Healthcare Compliance.
Outside of her business, Mrs. Martinez has continued to devote herself to the industry as a curriculum developer in the areas of billing, coding, compliance and auditing. Due to her considerable expertise, she authored and copyrighted "ICD-IO-CM Training Manual" in 2015. In the near future, MIs. Martinez aims to experience the continued growth and success of her career. Ultimately, she intends to obtain further credentials so that she might offer more at a lower cost.
