She previously worked as the manager of data resources for the Boeing Company in Seattle from 1989 to 2001, and further flourished as an information system architect and analyst for U.S. West in Denver, Colorado, between 1986 and 1989. Moreover, Ms. Meador provided her wealth of knowledge to McRoberts, Meador & Associates as a consultant from 1984 until 1986.
Prior to these appointments, Ms. Meador served as the data administrator for Seattle First National Bank from 1983 to 1984. She was additionally active in a similar post for Federal Home Loan Bank in San Francisco between 1978 and 1983. Furthermore, she was recruited as a senior systems analyst for the Bank of America in San Francisco from 1975 until 1978. Ms. Meador began her career as a secondary school teacher in San Francisco and Atwater, California, from 1971 to 1974.

Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Meador pursued an education at the College of San Mateo, earning an Associate of Arts in music in 1965. She continued her studies at California State University in 1970, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English. Following these accomplishments, she obtained her certifications as a teacher from the state of California in 1971 and as a fiction writer by the University of Washington in 1992. Ms. Meador concluded her academic efforts at the Northwest Institute of Literary Arts, graduating with a Master of Fine Arts.

Beyond her primary responsibilities, Ms. Meador had participated in numerous endeavors within her professional circles. From 1984 to 1998, she contributed to a number of companies across the United States as a consultant on information systems architecture. Likewise, she held the position of an instructor for the University of California San Francisco between 1980 and 1982, as well as for the Data Resource Management Program at the University of Washington from 1990 until 2000. Invited to speak at the Zachman Information Systems Architecture Forum in 1991, Ms. Meador thrived as a deputy project manager for data administration with the SHARE Users Group in IBM International between 1986 and 1993 and a member of the SHARE International Task Force on Application Development Management from 1990 to 1992.

Ms. Meador found success as the co-editor of DRM Journal from 1990 to 1993. The co-author of "The Handbook of Systems Management" in 1989, she has penned myriad articles on her former field for journals and newsletters. Additionally, Ms. Meador was requested to lead writing workshops at the Pacific Northwest Writers Conference in 2002 and the Edmonds Writing Conference in 2003 and 2004.

Ms. Meador remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She has maintained her involvement with the Whidbey Island Writers Association, the Seattle Freelancers and the Pacific Northwest Writers Association. She is also associated with the Whidbey Island Writers Conference and the Northwest Institute of Literary Arts. Ms. Meador was a former member of the Data Management Resource Association and the Data Administration Management Association International.

In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Meador has accrued several accolades throughout her impressive career. Likewise, she was recognized as the Volunteer of the Year by the Issaquah Chamber of Commerce in 1993. In 1991, she was presented with the Individual Achievement Award from the Data Administration Management Association International. Notably, Ms. Meador was selected for inclusion in the 25th edition of Who's Who of American Women and the 59th edition of Who's Who in America.

Proud of her long and incredible research in information technology and digital systems, Ms. Meador credits her success to the influence of her writing and music teachers, as well as her mentors in the field of computing technologies. She was drawn to writing at the age of 13 and eventually gravitated toward teaching, which she attempted to maintain as a prominent presence during her ventures in the corporate world. In her retirement from data resource management, she has revived her passion for music as well, having played at the amateur symphony and orchestral level in her youth. Looking toward the future, Ms. Meador aspires to continue writing, learn more about social media and digital marketing, sell her next book with the help of a consultant and revive her writing workshops following the COVID-19 pandemic.
