DETROIT, MI, November 06, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Conley Worsham has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Following in the footsteps of his mother, grandmother and great uncle, all of whom were academics, Mr. Worsham pursued a similar career path, beginning as an instructor in the U.S. Army. After a tour of duty in Vietnam, he trained military personnel in Europe, during which time he was appointed as the director of training. Upon settling down with his wife and children, he accepted his inaugural position in academia, working as a professor at Oakland University, Eastern Michigan University and the University of Michigan. Mr. Worsham currently excels as a professor of political science at Wayne County Community College.
In pursuit of his professional aspirations, Mr. Worsham earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, a Master of Arts in public administration from Open University and an ABD in political science from Wayne State University. He remains further affiliated with Phi Alpha Delta, Phi Sigma Alpha, Phi Alpha Alpha and Phi Delta Kappa. Outside of his primary responsibilities, Mr. Worsham has contributed to his community through the American Legion, the Cathedral Church of Saint Paul and Wayne County Community College, for which he serves as the chairman of the textbook committee.
For his military excellence, Mr. Worsham was presented with several awards through the U.S. Army, including an Army Commendation Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal, a National Defense Medal and a Meritorious Unit Citation. Professionally, he was recognized with a Distinguished Service to Education Award from Phi Delta Kappa. Likewise, Mr. Worsham was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation for Community Service from the mayor of Detroit.
Although his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Worsham is especially proud of operating as team leader in intelligence during the Vietnam War. Moreover, he fondly recalls obtaining the roles of a property book officer, a top secret control officer and the deputy chief of staff for intelligence while working in Europe on behalf of the U.S. Army. In the coming years, Mr. Worsham intends to experience the continued success of his career at Wayne County Community College.
