Previously, Ms. Dutton gained valuable expertise as a hairstylist for North Beach at Salon Fleur de Lis between 2013 and 2015. Earlier in her career, she worked as a salon co-owner for North Beach Salon from 2001 until 2013. Ms. Dutton further flourished as a stylist for Chez Cheri in Palm Beach Gardens during the late 1980s and mid-1990s.

In 1973, Ms. Dutton graduated from Alberto's School of Cosmetology in pursuit of her aspirations. Additionally, she obtained an Associate of Arts in business and corporate communications for Rock Valley Junior College in Rockford, IL. She relocated to Florida in 1983. A member of the NCA, she was honored to receive the Best of 2020 Salon Services Award. Due to her interest in history, she joined the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
