MIDDLESEX, NJ, November 10, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Bernadette L. Connelly Colanduoni, RN, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Colanduoni celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Colanduoni is a certified school nurse and teacher in the state of New Jersey, who has excelled in her industry for over 50 years. With the desire to be a nurse at a young age, she worked toward her dreams by first attending the St. Francis Medical Center School of Nursing in Trenton, New Jersey. After becoming a registered nurse in 1963, she was hired by the Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield, New Jersey, beginning her career as a staff nurse. Soon thereafter, Ms. Colanduoni worked as an occupational nurse for the Art Color Printing Co. in Dunellen, New Jersey, from 1965 to 1969.

Inspired by the school nurse at the school her children attended, Ms. Colanduoni decided to shift gears in her career and become a school nurse for the Middlesex Board of Education in 1971. Throughout her tenure with the school district, she continued her academic efforts, earning a Bachelor of Arts from New Jersey City University in 1976 and a Master of Education from the College of New Jersey in 1984. To remain aware of developments in her field, Ms. Colanduoni maintains a professional relationship with the National Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association, the Middlesex Education Association, the National Association of School Nurses, the Middlesex County School Nurses and the New Jersey State School Nurses Association.

After returning from a brief period of retirement in 1998, Ms. Colanduoni accepted the position of substitute school nurse for the Middlesex Board of Education from 1998 until her departure in 2002. Furthermore, she held the post of a covering staff nurse with the office of Dr. Lawrence Gross in Somerset, New Jersey, from 2002 until her final retirement in 2013. A memorable moment in her career was the acknowledgment she received three years after her retirement, from those who admired her service and admitted that if it weren't for her, they wouldn't be alive today. A life member of the Bound Brook chapter of the Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital, she has been a recipient of the Meritorious Award from the organization in 1969. Ms. Colanduoni was notably presented with the Governor's Teacher Recognition Award from the state of New Jersey in 1991 as well.

As an active contributor to her community, Ms. Colanduoni has been involved with the Middlesex Borough Board of Health Commission since 1995, and was a co-leader for the Girls Scouts Heart of New Jersey from 1973 to 1979. A lover of crafts, she has also donated quilts to hospitals and aid cities as well as organizations that help battered women, veterans and children. She holds membership with the Monday Morning Quilters, Pieced Together Quilters, Stitches in the Snow and the Pine Tree Quilters Guild. Enjoying her retirement, Ms. Colanduoni's hobbies include swimming, traveling, and family activities during her spare time.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Ms. Colanduoni has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
