Dr. Oguh subsequently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in business studies, with honors, before obtaining a Master of Arts and Doctor of Business Administration in accounting and corporate finance, presenting his thesis on the rise and fall of the Nigerian oil economy. He additionally holds numerous professional credentials, including an advanced mortgage advisor certification, an insurance professional certification and an advanced diploma in insurance. Furthermore, Dr. Oguh has been designated as a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management.
Dr. Oguh's financial career began with Thistle and Thistle, with which he worked his way up to a financial accounting position from his inaugural role as a junior accountant. He served for the next two years as a credit manager with Cockpit International and Gillespie & Company Chartered Accountants, departing in 2002 to establish Rochvilles & Company. Established as an individual practice run out of Dr. Oguh's home, Rochvilles & Company has expanded to become a full-service financial planning and tax services firm with two offices tending to a diverse group of individual and business clients.
In addition to his work in financial services, Dr. Oguh utilizes his outstanding strategic planning and analysis skills in several other business ventures. He holds a strong portfolio of investment properties throughout the United Kingdom, and has been active as the group director and owner of Max & Max Ltd., a food and beverage company with catering, wholesale, and retail divisions, since 2004. He considers it a privilege to counsel his clients and earn their trust, and watching their success motivates him to continue to improve his practice. Dr. Oguh attributes his success to his faith in God, hard work, dedication and the refusal to accept failure.
In 2019, Dr. Oguh revisited his political ambitions, running for the Nigerian Federal House of Representatives as an APGA candidate, and he continues to contribute to the people of Nigeria as the founder and chair of the Omenma Ndi Imo Foundation, a community-based NGO serving families and infrastructure throughout the Mbaise nation of Imo state. In recognition of his work with the Omenma Ndi Imo foundation, he was recognized as an Icon of Education by the Imo state chapter of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, and presented with an Award from the Mbaise Catholic Youth Foundations.
