Dr. Correa began her career in Dentistry in 2000 as a surgeon-dentist for private dental offices in Sao Paulo/Brazil. After six incredible years assisting patients and involved in academic research, she realized that she wanted to expand the breadth of her experience so that she could better serve the population at large. Changing her focus to concentrate on life sciences and clinical research and development, she was acquired by PPD, a recognized global contract research organization, in 2006 as a clinical research associate. Dr. Correa was later hired by a Clinical Research Center as a clinical operations and administrative manager of the clinical research department and for Medtronic as a clinical research supervisor. In 2011, she was recruited by IQVIA.
A multinational Human Data Science Company, IQVIA is a provider of biopharmaceutical development and commercial outsourcing services. Established in the U.S., the company now extends across 100 countries. Joining as a regulatory and start-up manager, Dr. Correa established herself as a leader among her peers with respect to quality management, clinical monitoring and clinical project management. Earning various promotions overseeing the Latin American and North American regions, she was later assigned the Global role of the associate director of global quality assurance in 2018. Tasked with customer relationship management, Dr. Correa collaborates with customers and provides quality assurance leadership to enhance the quality and productivity of assigned customers' projects and clinical trials across regions.
Boasting nearly 15 years of expertise in clinical research and development, Dr. Correa is also well versed in working with clinical sites, medical device industry and contract research organizations. Looking toward the future, she aspires to continue contributing to the protection of patients all over the world, their well-being and quality of life through her work. To support her career, Dr. Correa is a member of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association.
Dr. Correa received a Bachelor of Dentistry at Camilo Castelo Branco University in Sao Paulo in 1999. She later completed clinical research and coursework in Brazil and at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston in 2008. In 2020, she also received accreditation through Barnett International as an expert in good clinical practices. Born in Brazil, Dr. Correa is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
