Jeanne LaLone Ager Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Non-Profit Consultancy

Ms. Ager was inducted into the Citizen's Hall of Fame in Spokane in 2016

SPOKANE, WA, November 20, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jeanne LaLone Ager has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Inspired by her mother, who was the very first female Davenport Hotel Assistant Manager hired in the United States in the 1940s, Ms. Ager developed a keen sense of management from an early age in light of her mother's tenacity as a widow with six children and dedication to both her profession, her family, and her community. For over 40 years, Jeanne has served as an administrator or a fundraiser to a variety of non-profit boards and foundations, in which she excels as a consultant. In her position, she utilizes her knowledge and experience in philanthropic fundraising, program management, public relations, grant writing, grant management, and capital and endowment fund growth. Moreover, as a founder of Ager Consulting LLC in Spokane, Ms. Ager works alongside her daughter, Jan, who serves as principal of the organization.

Prior to establishing her own consultancy business, Ms. Ager introduced the first cable television to Spokane in 1974, volunteered as a World's Fair Coordinator for in-home entertainment of world-wide dignitaries, and was named the first Executive Director of the Greater Spokane Community Foundation in 1977, now known as Innovia Foundation. She began a longstanding tenure as the first female with the Spokane Central Lions Club in 1987. A member of the Crime Check/Crime Stoppers, she held her position with the aforementioned club until 2014. Likewise, she had earned a fundraising certificate from the University of Indiana in 1989. Before the inception of her professional career, Ms. Ager obtained a Bachelor of Arts in general studies and music from Washington State University in 1955, graduating as an outstanding senior.

Attributing her profound success to excellent training, Ms. Ager was notably inducted into the Citizen's Hall of Fame in Spokane in 2016, recognized by the Spokane Public Library Foundation and Office of the Mayor of Spokane, which she cites of as a career highlight. Married to the late Richard William Ager for nearly 55 years, she is the proud mother of three children: Jan, and the late Julie Ann and Jeffrey Dwight. Ms. Ager is also the loving grandmother of five grandchildren: Casey, Bryan, Sophia, James and Katherine.
