Dr. Taylor is a renowned physical therapist and psychotherapist whose career in healthcare has spanned over 50 years. Working in various rehabilitation and hospital settings throughout Georgia and Connecticut, she garnered extensive expertise through the roles of the director of rehabilitation services at the Brittany Farms Health Center in New Britain, Connecticut and the director of rehabilitation at the Hebrew Home and Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. In 1982, she was notably appointed as a partner and director of physical therapy at Glastonbury Health Associates in Glastonbury, Connecticut. One year later, Dr. Taylor reached the pinnacle of her career when she established her own practice, Taylor Therapy Center P.C. in Newington.

As the president, director, and administrator of the aforementioned practice since 1983, Dr. Taylor takes great pleasure in treating the "whole person." Believing strongly in the significance of the body-mind connection, she finds the most satisfaction when her clients respond positively to her treatment plans. Operating alongside a talented team of professionals, the Taylor Therapy Center offers various physical therapy, psychotherapy, counseling, and massage therapy services to clients. Dr. Taylor's facility also boasts a one-of-a-kind supervised gymnasium that combines methods of both physical therapy and fitness.

In her formative years, Dr. Taylor became fascinated by physical therapy when her grandmother had to undergo rehabilitation after suffering a stroke. She later enrolled at Boston University, from which she graduated a Bachelor of Science and certificate in physical therapy in 1969. Several years later, she earned a Master of Science in counseling at the University of Hartford in 1978 and a Doctor of Psychology at Antioch University in 2002. Licensed as a physical therapist and a professional counselor in Connecticut, she is additionally certified in Bioenergetic Analysis and as a disability analyst. Additionally, Dr. Taylor has completed the Hartford Family Institute Body-Oriented Gestalt Therapy Training Program.

Through her community, Dr. Taylor has been active as a member of the Newington Chamber of Commerce for many years, during which time she was recruited as the vice president from 2004 to 2008, the president from 2008 to 2010 and a director in 2013. Likewise, she had completed service in the U.S. Army Medical Specialist Corps as a captain. Furthermore, Dr. Taylor has thrived as the treasurer, director and a member of the board of directors of the Connecticut Society for Bioenergetic Analysis.

Dr. Taylor has been a recognized professional member of several significant organizations, including the Connecticut Physical Therapy Association, the American Psychological Association and the International Society for Bioenergetic Analysis. She is also an elected fellow of the American Board of Disability Analysts as well as a member and former two-time president of the Connecticut chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association. A celebrated Marquis listee, Dr. Taylor has been cited in the 25th edition of Who's Who of American Women.
