The daughter of a diplomat, she was born in Lebanon and spent her childhood in embassies throughout the world. She holds a degree in French literature from the Academy of Paris, and began her education at the University of Paris II Pantheon-Assas, earning a licence en droit in 2000, a Master's degree and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 2001. She relocated to the United States shortly thereafter in order to pursue additional postgraduate legal study at the Washington College of Law at American University, earning a Master of Laws in international legal studies in 2002. Initially drawn to international commercial arbitration, Ms. Ayoub's childhood as an international student and her deep identification with the inherent challenges of the process sparked her interest in immigration law.
Since 2012, the Law Offices of Elsa Ayoub PLLC has assisted clients with a full range of services, including permanent residency, work, family, and fiancé visa strategy and counsel, and offers legal support and representation throughout the naturalization process. Operating with insight and empathy gained from her own experiences as an international student and United States immigrant, she strives to find the best solution for each client's needs and intentions in every case she handles. Ms. Ayoub is fluent in Spanish, French and Arabic, and has served as a consultant to the Lebanese Embassy and Consulate General since 2003. She is an expert on the EB-5 investor visa program, and has spoken and written extensively about its applications in the real estate industry. Her article "The EB-5 Program and its Relevancy to Purchasing Real Estate" was published in the Mann Report and the 2019 UK Immigration Law Expert Guide. As a nationally-recognized leader in her specialty, Ms. Ayoub is active in the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the New York State Bar.
In recognition of her outstanding career record, Ms. Ayoub has been the recipient of numerous awards and accolades, and was most recently selected as a 2019 Lawyer of Distinction and the International Association of Top Professionals' Top Immigration Attorney.
