Mr. Wineman is the president of Wineman & Associate, an independent contract negotiation firm specializing in United States federal and private-sector contracts with entities was commissioned in the United States Army in 1958. The following year, Mr. Wineman was assigned to the Pentagon as a staff officer, leading to a counterinsurgency training post in Iran, where he would serve until his honorable discharge in 1965.
After spending nearly seven years in Iran, Mr. Wineman decided to pursue a Master of Arts in Arab Studies at the American University in Beirut, hoping that adding Arabic language competency to his resume would create new business opportunities. Upon completing his degree in 1967, he remained in Lebanon, serving as the regional director for Avco Corporation and United Technologies International. Establishing Wineman & Associate in 1977, Mr. Wineman combined his deep knowledge of the region's culture and primary languages with over a decade of expertise in international business. He maintains involvement as the president and regional director of the firm, and continues to handle contract negotiations.
Mr. Wineman is the author of a book, "The Sweet Art of Negotiation," and has lectured on American culture at organizations throughout the Middle East for much of his career. He is active in the Rotary Club and is a proud alumni member of Phi Kappa Psi, a trustee of the Phi Kappa Psi Foundation and a past national president of the Phi Kappa Psi organization. In a career suffused with highlights, Mr. Wineman is most proud to have worked on behalf of Phi Kappa Psi, and to have served as a mentor for so many fraternity brothers.
