FARMINGTON HILLS, MI, December 09, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Amanda C. Mohan has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. Mrs. Mohan began her career as an electrical and mechanical intern for Gehring LP, after which she joined the staff of DENSO International America Inc. She also excelled with General Motors before accepting a variety of engineering positions within the ZF Group. Most recently Mrs. Mohan has held the title of a senior engineering manager, making her responsible for leading and coordinating a global cross functional team to develop the next generation airbag control module.
Mrs. Mohan was introduced to engineering in middle school, during which she attended summer classes at a vocational center that encouraged girls to enter male-dominated career fields. In these classes, she built her first miniature robot, and learned about resistors and soldering. Following this experience, she decided to pursue engineering professionally. Mrs. Mohan proceeded to attain a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Lawrence Technological University and a Master of Science also in electrical engineering.
Throughout the course of her career, Mrs. Mohan has been most grateful for her ability to ascend from the role of a quality engineer to a hardware engineer to a senior engineering manager as a woman in her industry. She has also supported her company's latest generation airbag control module from beginning to end. As a respected voice in her field and member of her community, she has received many awards for her volunteer and professional work. To wit, Mrs. Mohan received the 2019 Growth Advocate Award from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the SWE Advocate Award from the Society of Women Engineers.
Mrs. Mohan has attributed her professional success to her mentors, as well as her desire to improve the world around her. She has remained dedicated and hard working through all of the challenges. In the coming years, Ms. Mohan plans to continue excelling in her field. She would also like to venture into more challenging positions and expand her knowledge of the industry.
