Growing up in the ministry, Pastor Oliver decided at a very young age that he wanted to pursue a life in the ministry. In 2015, he established Deliverance Outreach Ministry alongside his wife, Emily Debose Oliver, out of their living room. His outreach stemmed from John 21:15-7, when Jesus told Peter on three occasions, "If you love me, then feed my sheep." As the president, chaplain and chief executive officer of the ministry, Pastor Oliver supervises three employees, multiple volunteers and a part-time secretary.
Through donations and grants, Deliverance Outreach Ministry is able to maintain a steady level of operation and provide assistance to the homeless population concerning food and health care. Likewise, the aforementioned church has enlisted in the help of local doctors to provide free health services for the less fortunate. Furthermore, Pastor Oliver helps his parishioners and others in need with applications for federal assistance programs, including Medicaid, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and other services.
During an earlier stage of his career, Pastor Oliver gained valuable professional experience as an assistant to orthopedic physician Dr. Frank Cannon with the Ocala Orthopaedic Group, for whom he worked for nearly 25 years. Moreover, he refined his skills firsthand at the Tampa General Hospital. Outside of his primary responsibilities in ministry, Pastor Oliver continues to devote himself to his community as a coach for the local little league football team.
Throughout the course of his professional journey, Pastor Oliver has pursued studies in various disciplines, earning a certificate for policing from Santa Fe Community College in 1978 before graduating from the University of Florida's Orthopedic Technology Program. He subsequently completed coursework at a theological seminary school in Ocala, Florida and the Criminal Justice Institute at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida in 2017. He additionally garnered his certification as a lifestyle coach and his license as a bail bondsman. Certified as a minister in 2008, Pastor Oliver was officially ordained in 2014.
Though his career has been filled with highlights, Pastor Oliver is incredibly proud to have established Deliverance Outreach Ministry and provided assistance to those less fortunate. Due to his steadfast devotion to the community, he has been recognized on numerous occasions for his charitable endeavors. He is a firm believer that God has put him on his present path, quoting, "I can do all things through God who strengthens me. I can do nothing without him." Looking toward the future, Pastor Oliver intends to continue following his calling in ministry for the foreseeable future while conducting humanitarian outreach and community engagement.
