After earning a Bachelor of Arts in agronomy and crop science from the Ohio State University in 2012, Mr. Brankamp enlisted in the Peace Corps. Over the course of two years, he encountered several individuals who had legal problems. As much as he could do in the Peace Corps, he believed that he could do more for those in need as an attorney. While continuing his studies, Mr. Brankamp gained valuable expertise in the field as a legal extern with the Ohio Attorney General's Office as well as a law clerk with Funkhouser Law and his local Public Defender's Office.
Upon graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Capital University Law School in 2018, Mr. Brankamp established his private practice. Through Brankamp Law, LLC, he specializes in a wide range of legal matters, including motorcycle accidents, workers' compensation matters, dog bite cases, driving under the influence charges, drug charges, divorce and dissolution matters, among others. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Brankamp also began offering zoom conferences for his clients' safety to discuss legal matters.
Mr. Brankamp remains professionally affiliated with the Federal Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the American Bar Association in order to remain aware of changes in the field. In light of his professional expertise, he was recognized as a Marshall Brennan Constitutional Law fellow and a Stanley Youth and Advocacy fellow by Capital University Law School. In the coming years, Mr. Brankamp aims to continue successfully operating his practice and contributing to his community, specifically those in Paraguay.
