Warren Groner Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    SOMERS, NY, December 21, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Warren Groner with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Groner celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. Now retired, Mr. Groner served as the president of the Center for Laboratory Technology Inc. in Great Neck, New York, for more than 20 years. Supported by more than three decades of industry experience, he held several other prestigious positions during his career, including as the vice president of research and development for Bayer Diagnostics, and the senior vice president of research and development for Technicon Instruments Corporation. Throughout the 1960s, Mr. Groner gained experience as a physicist and senior engineer for several New York organizations with U.S. Department of Defense contractors shortly after graduating from college.

Aligned with the International Council for Standardization in Hematology in Watford, England, until 2017, Mr. Groner served as a member of its expert panel for nearly three decades. He was also instrumental as an area committee member on hematology for the National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards in Villanova, Pennsylvania, from 1975 to 1990 and a subcommittee member from 1975 to 1990, upon which he retired from his profession. His research has resulted in the acquisition several patents, inventions and scientific papers regarding the development of in-vitro diagnostics instruments. He notably created the innovative hematology analyzer, H1, in 1985. Mr. Groner also co-authored a book in 1985, "Practical Guide to Modern Hematology Analyzers," with Elkin Simson through Wiley Publishers.

An alumnus of New York University, Mr. Groner received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in physics in 1962 and 1965, respectively. Among his professional memberships, he is an elected fellow of the International Society of Hematology. Celebrated with a SAMY Award for Most Innovative Medical Device in 1985, Mr. Groner is also a celebrated Marquis listee who has been featured in the fourth edition of Who's Who in Science and Engineering.
