Mr. Zelaya is esteemed as a retired marketing professional who is currently dedicated to his writing and consulting career. Marked by a lifelong desire to make a difference in the lives of others, he arrived in the United States in 1962 "to pursue his own American Dream." He subsequently earned a degree in computer systems analysis from the San Francisco Computer Academy in 1967 before working for IBM into the early 1970s. In 1972, Mr. Zelaya graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alaska, and refocused his ambitions toward sales and marketing.
From 1987 until 1989, Mr. Zelaya was active as an accounts executive for Midland Communications. He accepted a position as a territory sales manager for the Coca-Cola Company in 1990, and would excel with the company for more than 15 years thereafter in their offices based out of Atlanta, Georgia and Phoenix before retiring in 2006, Arizona. During this time, Mr. Zelaya obtained a Master of Business Administration in marketing in 1994.
In his retirement, Mr. Zelaya has found success in writing and publishing his work through JCMZ Publishing. Notably, he is the author of "The Real Life in Christ" in 2013, and "Living Daily in The Kingdom of God" in 2019. Currently working on his follow-up, his books have been well-reviewed by readers and industry press, and he hopes to witness them continue to gain popularity. When not writing, Mr. Zelaya is a volunteer counselor at the Maricopa County Jail, and he strives to live each day with the utmost integrity and intention, believing that, in life, "you will reap what you sow."
