Mr. Eichhorn is a prominent attorney who has been representing ChildServe, Inc., as general counsel since 2013. ChildServe is an organization that serves children and young adults throughout the state of Iowa who require special care for various developmental delays, disabilities, injuries and other needs. As general counsel and director compliance and governmental relations, Mr. Eichhorn oversees all governance, policies, regulations and compliance, as well as contracts.
As an expert in children's health care, disabilities and law, Mr. Eichhorn attributes much of his success to his drive, response and initiative to serve the children he cares so deeply about. Actively involved in many of the issues surrounding these children, as well as government efforts to make health care better, he has always worked diligently to meet his goals, and he is eager about the future of his career. In the following years, Mr. Eichhorn would like to expand his responsibilities and become more involved with state efforts, particularly with respect to children with disabilities because it is such meaningful work. He also recently took on the role of advisor for AdvisoryCloud, a leading marketplace for advisors, in 2020.
Prior to his commitments with ChildServe, Mr. Eichhorn was a state representative and chairman of the administrative rules review committee for the State of Iowa. He served for six years between 2001 and 2007. As part of his commitment to civic duties, Mr. Eichhorn has also lent his expertise by serving as a health law program advisor and compliance and risk management program advisor at his alma mater, Drake University.
Mr. Eichhorn completed a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, at Drake University, followed by a Doctor of Jurisprudence at the Drake University Law School. He has been a certified professional compliance officer through the AAPC (formerly known as the American Academy of Professional Coders) since 2014 and was certified in health care compliance through the Compliance Certification Board in 2017.
Aligned with several significant professional organizations, Mr. Eichhorn is a member of the American Health Law Association and the Iowa State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Iowa State Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology, is a member and former director of the board of the Iowa Brain Injury Alliance of Iowa, and a member of the legislative and Medicaid payment committee and former director of the board of the Iowa Health Care Association. Additionally, Mr. Eichhorn chaired the government relations committee of the Iowa Association of Community Providers and is a member and council on representation and advocacy for the Iowa Hospital Association.
Mr. Eichhorn's success over the year has earned him numerous prestigious awards. He was named Legislator of the Year by the Coalition of Family and Children Services of Iowa, received an Ambassador Award from the Iowa Division of Latino Affairs and a Leadership Award from the Iowa Health Care Association, was a T.S. Parvin Recipient from the Iowa Conference for Masonic Cooperation, and received several other accolades from sheriff's associations and business groups. In 1994, Mr. Eichhorn also notably received an AV-Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
