Patricia A. Watts Celebrated for Dedication to the Fields of Technology, Intelligence and Cybersecurity

Ms. Watts, a former intelligence and cybersecurity expert, currently exploring entrepreneurship and activism as the owner of WEModel USA, which she founded in 2017. She began her career in the United States Army, where she served for 22 years with distinction, rising to the rank of acting sergeant major. After serving as a regional threat analyst for the United States Army Intelligence and Threat Center from 1989 to 1990 and an operations and intelligence NCOIC with the United States Army National Training Center Operations Group from 1999 to 2001, Ms. Watts became a strategic analyst, planner, and targeting officer in the United States Strategic Command and National Airborne Operations Center.

In 2005, Ms. Watts rose to become the Combined Joint Task Force Intelligence Directorate Sergeant Major in Afghanistan, and transitioned into roles as a staff action officer, operations NCOIC before retiring from the Military in 2007. Ms. Watts began serving as a government civilian with the US Army at INSCOM and for the Deputy Chief of Staff of Intelligence in 2008. From 2011 to 2016, Ms. Watts served as a strategic planner for the Department of Defense Joint Chiefs of Staff, and briefly acted as a strategic and cyber planner before accepting her current position. In recognition of her government accomplishments, Ms. Watts has achieved the highest rank on the General Salary pay scale. She is currently the Director of the Technology Engagement Team of the Global Engagement Center at the State Department.

In addition to her work for the United States government and military, Ms. Watts has proven not all heroes wear combat boots and subsequently found success in numerous business and marketing ventures, including DMVFitness, eFocus, and HERLIFE Magazine, for which she was publisher and owner. She was a former senior marketing director for First Financial Security, building on marketing leadership roles with the Women's Entrepreneur Expo, Women Veterans Interactive and the Pacific Culture Company, a pageant producer where she serves as executive vice president. Her rapid and successful ascension in these pursuits opened the door even further for yet another noteworthy and highly successful endeavor.

Since 2017, Ms. Watts has been the owner of WEModel USA a modeling and talent recruiting agency that strives to create a network for female entrepreneurs and talent while drawing attention to human sex trafficking and global women's rights concerns. She is currently seeking a 501c(3) non-profit for the community and charity work she provides. Ms. Watts is decorated with a Bronze Star and a Legion of Merit for her service to the United States Army, including supervising 177 combat troops deployed to Afghanistan with a total of zero casualties.

Academically, Ms. Watts holds an Associate of Science in Business Management from Barstow College, a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management from Bellevue University, and a Master of Science in Business from Central Michigan University.

Ms. Watts additionally garnered public attention through her contributions as co-author of the #1 best-selling book, Camouflaged Sisters: Revealing Struggles of the Black Woman's Military Experience, executing a bold and inspiring narrative on her rise to leadership protecting our homeland as a soldier. She has since transitioned her experiences from the military to the civilian world by establishing her non-profit organization, allowing her to continue to exercise her heart of service for those not only in her own community but also within the United States and around the world.

As long as there are people to serve, her work is never done. Ms. Watts continues to gain velocity in her associated professional arenas through thoughtful communication, high emotional intelligence and meaningful relationships, all of which foster teamwork and connection.

In her leisure time, Ms. Watts is a volunteer and is involved with outreach initiatives benefiting the local homeless population. She's an active church-goer at First Baptist of Glen Arden and she is also active in Veterans of Foreign Wars and Women Veterans Interactive.
