After drawing notice for his skill as a teacher and leader, Mr. Kimbley was compelled to pursue a career in ministry at Northwest University. He would eventually start his professional journey in education as a culinary arts instructor at Buena High School. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Kimbley worked as the Director of Marketing and Promotions for a food and beverage consulting firm in Los Angeles with fifteen years of industry experience. He now holds the position of Student Achievement Teacher (S.A.T), Curriculum Chair and a new teacher mentor at his school.
Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Kimbley has been most proud to serve as an educator, and is particularly gratified whenever former students inform him of the positive impact he has had on their lives. For his efforts, he has earned such titles as the U-Rock Award (best in industry), an Inspirational Teacher of the Month, Cultural Impact Teacher of the Year, and the Golden Apple Award Winner (best in Career and Technical Education). Mr. Kimbley has attributed his professional success to his mentors, such as Monica Holguin, Wesley Wood, Sarah Avalos, Jacqui Clay, Johanna Scott and Kristine Hale.
Presently, Mr. Kimbley maintains his professional affiliation with Arizona Family and Consumer Science Educators, FCCLA Arizona and ACTEAZ. Looking toward the future, he hopes to continue the work of changing school culture and climate through his role as an instructional coach (S.A.T.). Mr. Kimbley sees supporting, encouraging, and appreciating teachers as the key to excellence in the classroom.
