SAGINAW, MI, January 11, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sushma Jones has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
While coming of age, Ms. Jones drew inspiration from watching her mother transport friends and family in order to help others. As an adult, she became a truck driver for Electronics Recycling Services (ERS International). Noticing that many people in her community lacked access to reliable public transportation, she established D&S Transportation Services with her mother, who was a chauffeur.
In the course of pursuing their business, Ms. Jones and her mother aspired to help as many families as they could. They notably provide door-to-door services for people who need rides to work, the grocery store, medical appointments and more. They also provide rideshare transportation for employees through their employers.
As a loyal community member, Ms. Jones provides free rides for the less fortunate in the community, and offers discounts to veterans and seniors. In accounting for her professional success, she credits her passion for providing an essential service to the community. She also thanks God. Rosa Park and Claudette Colvin inspired her.
Ms. Jones maintains her professional affiliation with the Black Chamber of Commerce. Well regarded for her indelible contributions to the field, Ms. Jones was recently featured in a profile on MLive.com. In the coming years, she hopes to expand her business from one local bus to a statewide operation.
