Ms. Acord's interest in real estate was initially curated by her great aunt, grandmother, and mother, all of whom were prominent women in the field. While she originally pursued a nursing degree, her interest in real estate and design was sparked by her work in her aunt's office, where she took pictures and assisted with the design and decor elements of the business. Inspired by her aunt's devotion to, and warm relationship with, her clients, Ms. Acord then shadowed her and applied her own talents to real estate courses.
Her high caliber of customer service has been Ms. Acord's motivation in her own business. She has been the owner and a realtor at Liz Carter & Team Realty since 1999. She earned her certifications as a broker and an interior decorator in 2012, allowing her to provide even more detailed and comprehensive services to her clients. The ultimate goal of Liz Carter & Team is to connect with customers in a meaningful way, with a concentration not on numbers and commissions, but on the level of service and satisfaction that the client has experienced. This attitude was passed down to Ms. Acord by her aunt, and is a cornerstone of her philosophy to this day.
