Mr. Haupt is a certified pool operator and entrepreneur celebrating 15 years as the owner of Da Pool Guy, LLC, operating as Kauai Pool Service. He began working in the restaurant industry after graduating from high school, quickly finding financial success in the bustling tourist sector on Kauai, Hawaii. Raised in a family with a strong tradition of business ownership, Mr. Haupt knew that he would one day start his own entrepreneurial venture.
In 2001, he began working as a pool manager for the County of Kauai. He spent the next five years developing a broad range of expertise in facilities management, safety and public recreation administration, and was named the swimming pool supervisor for the Island in 2006. In 2005, he established Da Pool Guy LLC, one of the area's top-rated and all-inclusive pool maintenance providers, as he continued to work for the County of Kauai until 2020.
Mr. Haupt specializes in pool and spa cleaning, chemical maintenance, saltwater and alternative pool chemical setup, and repairs, and hopes to expand his business to serve clients on others Hawaiian Islands. He attributes much of his success to positive attitude, integrity and a dedication to treating others how he would like to be treated. Mr. Haupt has received awards for Business with Ethics from the Better Business Bureau, and was voted Third Best Pool Maintenance Provider on the island of Kauai in 2009. In his leisure time, Mr. Haupt enjoys surfing and snorkeling. He previously coached swimming at Kapa'a High School.
