With nearly 40 years of experience to his credit, Mr. McClellan has excelled as a Claims Information Consultant for Johnson and Higgins in Hartford from 1992 to 2000 and Project Manager with Aetna from 2006 to 2016. During this time, he served in the U.S. Army Reserve in various capacities including Brigade Executive Officer and and Acting Brigade Commander. In 2004 - 2005 he served as a Foreign Army Advisor for the Iraqi Armed Forces. Previously, he served in the U.S. Army, serving in numerous military assignments in the United States and Germany between 1980 and 1992, including Infantry Platoon Leader, Infantry Company Commander, Automation Management Officer and Division Plans Officer.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. McClellan pursued an education at Temple University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1981. He graduated from Central Connecticut State University, earning a Master of Computer Sciences. In addition to these accomplishments, Mr. McClellan has been certified as a systems engineer by Microsoft.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. McClellan has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He is currently the President and Curator of the Greater Middletown Military Museum he as also served on the building committee, a designer for military artifact displays and a presiding operations authority. Moreover, Mr. McClellan has found success with the Middletown Planning and Zoning Commission and the Middletown Inland Wetland Commission.
In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. McClellan remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He has maintained his involvement as a member of Mensa International. Mr. McClellan is an active member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans, and has served as Commander of his American Legion and VFW posts. In light of his exceptional undertakings, Mr. McClellan has accrued several accolades throughout his impressive career, during which he was awarded with a Meritorious Service Medal and a Bronze Star. Furthermore, Mr. McClellan was selected for inclusion in the 23rd edition of Who's Who in the West.
Motivated by his parents to be responsible and independent through their church and community activities, Mr. McClellan was inspired to seek a career in the military and consultancy out of his desire to make the world a better place however he could. Satisfied by his ability to make jobs easier for his subordinates, he is incredibly proud of his work with the Iraqi Armed Forces.
