Andrea Graver has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

Ms. Graver advocates for survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation and fights against injustice.

JENKS, OK, January 20, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Andrea Graver has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Graver received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish language and literature from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2000. She was first introduced to the issue of human sex trafficking through watching the documentary "Nefarious". After meeting several survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking, she gained a unique perspective of the challenges and trauma they had to overcome, and was compelled to do more to combat the issue. She started with volunteering efforts at a local shelter for trafficked victims and then became more professionally involved.

Ms. Graver excelled as the Director of Social Change at Unlock Freedom from 2017-2018, and is currently the president and co-founder of Defending Dignity, Inc. since 2019. The mission of Defending Dignity is to reach women trapped in sexual exploitation to facilitate healing and restoration. The main program of Defending Dignity is local outreach to women in the sex industry who may be trafficked or exploited but are unaware of resources or help to exit their situation. She works on her local task force to address the issue through legislation, prevention efforts, and coordinate a service response to the needs of victims.

Over the years, Ms. Graver has learned that although the issue of human trafficking is complex, it can be combatted with increased awareness in all communities. Civically, she has been active with organizations such as the Oklahoma Coalition Against Trafficking (OCAT), Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits, and Celebrate Recovery. She attributes her professional success to her faith. In the future Ms. Graver intends to help create sustainable paths to employment and housing solutions for survivors of sexual exploitation.
