A seasoned patent attorney with nearly a decade of professional expertise to his credit, Mr. Tian excels as the research director for the Beijing Qiansong Tech Development Company. For the last two years, he has assisted pharmaceutical companies in obtaining patent licenses from U.S. companies and estimated the values of U.S. patented drugs. Prior to his increased focus on the research side of patent law, he honed his knowledge of the field in his role with Thomson Reuters. As a legal intern, Mr. Tian conducted legal research on constitutional law issues of separation of power and equal protection, as well as the Magna Carta's influence on American law and the three-strikes law.
During the early years of his career, Mr. Tian worked as an electronic health record consultant with Technical Consulting & Research Inc., for which he benchmarked electronic health record software platforms and designed a high school teaching program for college preparation. Backed by his considerable expertise, he has authored several conferences papers and articles, including "Impacts of legislation on electronic health records systems and security implementation" and "Electronic Health Record Systems: A Current and Future-Oriented View." Additionally, Mr. Tian holds patents for "data isolation sharing method and device based on block chain, terminal, and system" and "remote data sharing and protection method, server side, user side and system" alongside fellow industry scholars, Yang Hu and Li Longgen.
Before embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Tian earned a Bachelor of Science in biotechnology from China Pharmaceutical University in 2009. Subsequently, he obtained a Master of Science in biology at New York University in 2011 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence at the University of Minnesota in 2016. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, he is affiliated with the IEEE, the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association, and contributes to those in need as a volunteer with One Thousand Writers.
Throughout his career, he has been honored on several occasions, accepting Awards of Merit for the short film "Lost in New York" for the Accolade Global Competition and the Indie Fest Film Festival. In the near future, Mr. Tian aims to expand upon his expertise in patent law.
