An accomplished listee, Ms. Beaman celebrates many years of experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. With more than 45 years of professional experience, Ms. Beaman most recently served as the president of Beaman Metal Co., Inc. having been the vice president in 1976. In addition to her primary roles, she was the president of Beaman Accounting and Consulting since 1975. She has also spent times as chair of the Capital Area Workforce Development Board and as a volunteer with Capital Area Crime Stopper, the greater Austin Chamber of Commerce and the Community Action Network. Ms. Beaman has further cultivated her skills as the Chair of the Travis County Historical Commission, the president of East Austin Rotary and President of the Conley-Guerrero Senior Activity Center Advisory Board.

Ms. Beaman began her career as a student at Texas Lutheran College (now University) in Seguin, TX, Nixon-Clay Commercial College in Austin, where she earned a Diploma of Business. Following this accomplishment, she completed further coursework. In order to keep abreast of developments in her field, she holds membership with the Texas Federation of Business and Professional Women's Club, Executive Women International, The National Association of Credit Management and the National Association of Financial Aid Administrators. Ms. Beaman has also been affiliated with the Austin Women's Chamber of Commerce, the General Federation of Women's Clubs, he Private Industry Council, the American Council of the Blind, Blinded Veterans Association Zonta International, Braille Revival League, Homeless, American Youth Works, volunteer Austin Code Enforcement, etc.

Throughout her career, Ms. Beaman has been recognized for her contributions. Awarded through the Austin Business Journal-Women Profile of Power, the recipient of the Governor's Volunteer of the Year Award and the Mayor's Meritorious Award, she has received Service Awards from the Sertoma International, The American Council of the Blind and the National Center for Community Schools. The freedom Foundation at Valley Forge honored her with a Citizen Leadership Award, the Blinded Veterans Association presented her with an Outstanding Contribution Award and Honorary Member, Reading is Fundamental gave her an Outstanding Service Award. She was inducted into the Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas Hall of Fame and the Austin Women's Hall of Fame. Ms. Beaman was named Outstanding Blind Worker of Texas, a Most Worthy Citizen of Austin, a Texas Woman of the Century and YWCA Woman of the Year. Through Coming of Age she has volunteered thousands of hours each year at places such as the LBJ Presidential Library and Museum, Texas State, Bob Bullock, Museum, Carver Museum Ambassador, and many more places. Each year she does Role Model Fairs at low income elementary schools that impact around 10,000 students.
