Ms. Broadnax-Montgomery has always sought to help others in need to the best of her abilities. She wanted to pursue a career that provided her with opportunities to care for others in a way that she did not have in her own life. With this in mind, she became the chief executive officer and executive director of Community Development Outreach, Inc., in 1998, holding these positions for 22 fruitful years. The organization, which serves between 200 and 500 individuals on a daily basis, offers rehabilitation and counseling services, a soup kitchen, and children's toy donations during the holiday season. During the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Community Development Outreach offered resources to single mothers, and they helped facilitate Bible study classes for children and adults while churches were closed.
Ms. Broadnax-Montgomery has also helped others in her community by treating children to local sports events, donating to military veterans and creating Easter baskets for children. Over the years, she has attributed her professional success to her lifelong desire to help others. In the coming years, Ms. Broadnax-Montgomery plans to continue helping others and eventually expand her efforts in the future.
