Affiliated with Dayton Public Schools in Ohio for 20 years, Mr. Williams served as an assistant manager of purchasing, the director of administrative services and the director of logistical support services during this tenure. Contributing to over 100 school districts in respect to purchasing, negotiating with vendors, and settling deals, he was highly respected and knowledgeable in his area of expertise prior to his retirement in 2006. Moreover, he previously worked as a personnel manager for Job Corps and in private practice as a consultant in Dayton. Mr. Williams formerly flourished as a part-time faculty member at Sinclair Community College in Dayton and Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, where he taught courses in management and marketing between 1977 and 2007.
Furthermore, Mr. Williams served in the U.S. Force between 1958 and 1980, advancing to the rank of master sergeant. During his many years in the military, he operated in the capacity of chapel management superintendent and chief of budget and logistics. Additionally, Mr. Williams was notably stationed overseas in Vietnam during 1968.
Beyond his primary professional positions, Mr. Williams was involved with the Southwestern Ohio Educational Purchasing Council as an executive committee member from 1986 to 2006 and the chairman from 1994 to 2000. Apart from his commitment with the Council, he was recruited as a member of the Miami Valley Career Technology Center council in Dayton from 1989 to 2001 and the treasurer of the Ohio Council/Education Purchasing Consortia from 1990 to 2006. The past president of Optimist International, Mr. Williams has been appointed as a quarter master of the Vietnam Era Memorial Post 5018 since 2009, a grand treasurer of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Ohio since 2005 and the treasurer of the Masonic Lodge from 1986.to 2007.
Mr. Williams initially earned a diploma from the Modern School of Photography in 1975. Soon thereafter, he obtained an Associate of Applied Science in religious institution management at the Community College of the Air Force in 1977, a bachelor's degree in business at the University of Nebraska in 1974 and a Master of Art in logistics at Central Michigan University in 1977. Mr. Williams has been further certified as a private pilot through the Federation Aviation Administration.
In recognition of his exemplary military service, Mr. Williams was decorated with a Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, and Air Force Commendation Medal. He was also presented with a Certificate from the International Society of Photographers, with some of his photographs showcased by the International Photographers Organization. A celebrated Marquis listee, Mr. Williams has been featured in the 54th through 58th editions of Who's Who in America, the eighth edition of Who's Who in American Education and the 26th edition of Who's Who in the Midwest.
