Dr. Videll is a cardiologist and United States Army Reserves veteran celebrating more than four decades of service to his patients, profession and country. He holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Miami, and earned a Doctor of Osteopathy from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1976. He completed an internship and residency at the Atlantic City Medical Center, where he was appointed as the chief resident, and accepted a dual fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Albert Einstein Medical Center and Deborah Heart and Lung Center. In 1981, Dr. Videll was bestowed with a research fellowship in nuclear cardiology at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center, where he would maintain involvement through 1984 as the director of employee health services.
In 1984, Dr. Videll was named as the assistant director of cardiology at Pritikin Longevity Center, from which he departed to become a clinical cardiologist and director of the clinical laboratory at Physician Care PC between 1987 and 1990. He concurrently served as the director and co-chairperson of intensive care and the cardiac stress laboratory at Memorial Hospital. Throughout the 1990s, Dr. Videll served as the director of house staff for the intensive care and cardiac care units for the North Philadelphia Health System. He was appointed as the chairperson of clinical medicine and the medical director of the Girard Medical Center in 1997, and continued his practice until 2010, when he decided to join the United States Army Reserves at the age of 55.
Dr. Videll proudly served in the United States Army Reserves until 2015, supervising six outlining clinics and clinical services at a combat support hospital in Kuwait until his retirement at the rank of a lieutenant colonel. In recognition of his uncommon commitment to the U.S. Armed Forces, he was extensively decorated with such merits as the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Reserves Component Medal and a Meritorious Service Medal. In a career suffused with highlights, Dr. Videll is most proud to have dedicated himself in this capacity.
Looking toward the future, Dr. Videll plans to continue his work in medicine following his military retirement. To remain aware of developments in the field, he maintains his affiliation with the American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, the International Society of Endovascular Specialists and the Society of General Internal Medicine. Outside of his vocational circles, Dr. Videll enjoys such diversions as traveling, fishing and quality time spent with his family.
