Janet K. Morgan Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Education

Ms. Morgan retired from Corona-Norco Unified School District in 2010



    YORBA LINDA, CA, February 05, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Janet K. Morgan has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Inspired by her mother's cousin, Florence Killey, who was also her first grade teacher, Ms. Morgan decided to become a teacher. After working for Harding Junior High in Lakewood, Ohio, between 1968 and 1970, she joined Harding Junior High School in Cuyahoga Falls for the following three years. She subsequently traveled for a number of years before returning to work as a teacher at Garden Grove Christian School for two years as a reading laboratory instructor. From 1986 until 2010, Ms. Morgan gained further expertise as a language arts teacher for the Corona-Norco Unified School District before her retirement.

An expert in her field, Ms. Morgan holds a Bachelor of Science in education from Ohio State University, which she earned in 1967, and a Master of Science in education that she received from California State University, Fullerton, in 2006. Driven to remain aware of changes in the field, she remains professionally aligned with the Retired Teachers Association in Corona-Norco, Division 80. Alongside her work in education, Ms. Morgan contributes through the Association of Presbyterian Members at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach.

In recognition of her professional excellence, Ms. Morgan served as president of Rho Chapter of Alpha Phi during the late-1960s. More recently, she received a certificate of appreciation for facilitating the AB1086 reading instruction development for grades four through eight for the Corona-Norco Unified School District Learning Support Services in 1999 and a Celebrated Reading Award through the Inland Empire Reading Council in 2000. Looking toward the future, Ms. Morgan intends to enjoy her retirement.
