MONTGOMERY, AL, February 08, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marshall J. Taggart Jr. has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. With a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and a master's degree in public administration from Clark Atlanta University Mr. Taggart began his career working in the Chicago mayor's office in water and aviation. Presently, he works as the executive airport director of the Montgomery Regional Airport in Alabama. Most recently, he was named as the chairperson of the Airport Minority Advisory Council's Leadership Collective Coalition. Mr. Taggart is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in political science at Clark Atlanta University.
As the first African-American executive airport director, Mr. Taggart brings leadership lessons and experiences from a 20-year-long career advancing through the industry.
Additionally, he serves as a board director of MGM, through which he renders decisions alongside senior leaders from other leading airports and aviation vendors. Throughout his career, he has been presented with the Alumni Brother of the Year Award from Alpha Phi Alpha, and most notably, the 450 Hours of Community Award and the President Lifetime Achievement Award from President Barack Obama. Mr. Taggart also received the District Award from the chairman fundraising committee and was selected as the national alumni president of the Clark Atlanta University Alumni Association. To remain aware of developments in the field, he maintains his professional affiliation with the Airport Council of Alabama and the Greater Montgomery Chamber of Commerce.
