Hon. Wesley R. Kliner has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who in America Biographical Registry

    CHATTANOOGA, TN, February 11, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Hon. Wesley R. Kliner has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Well-respected in his field, Judge Kliner has excelled as an administrative law judge with the United States Social Security Administration's Office of Hearing Operations in Chattanooga, Tennessee since 2014. Prior to being selected as a United States Administrative Law Judge, he served as the managing partner of Frager Kliner PLLC, a firm focused on immigration law, from 2011 to 2014; as general counsel of the Coker Tire Company from 2009 to 2011; and as a business, construction and civil litigation attorney from 1993 to 2011; beginning as an associate attorney with Leitner, Williams, Dooley & Napolitan; with subsequent positions at Hendrick Phillips, Schemm & Saltzman, an Atlanta-based construction law firm; as, of-counsel with the Law offices of Morgan G. Adams; and as co-founding member of Allen & Kliner PLLC.

While pursuing his profession, he has also served as a County Election Commissioner in Hamilton County, Tennessee from 2001 to 2003; as a Tennessee State Election Commissioner from 2003-2005; and in 2004, was appointed by U.S. Senate Majority Leader Dr. Bill Frist to serve two 2-year terms on the United States Election Assistance Commission's Board of Advisor where he served one year as the Chair of the Standards Committee and 2 years as Vice Chair of the Board of Advisors. Then-Commissioner Kliner was instrumental in leading the EAC Commissioners and Board of Advisors members through review and finalization of the EAC's Voluntary Voting System Guidelines prescribing voting system technical requirements as required under the Help America Vote Act. He also proposed and drafted ethics legislation for the Tennessee General Assembly's consideration in 2007 that was eventually adopted in 2008 limiting an Election Commissioner's' political activity while serving in that office.

Prior to embarking on his professional path, Judge Kliner pursued his undergraduate education at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a minor in military science in 1977. Thereafter, he completed military service as a captain in the United States Army serving from 1977 to 1982. Judge Kliner later obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law of the University of Memphis in 1990, where he served as Managing Editor of the Law Review.

In order to remain aware of developments in his field, Judge Kliner has been affiliated with a number of relevant organizations, including the Tennessee Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association and the American Administrative Law Judge Union. With a plethora of knowledge to his credit, he has authored a humor article "Procrastinator's Special: A Big Hit for CLE Slackers" in the Tennessee Bar Journal in 2006 and "When the Earth Moves and Buildings Tumble, Who Will Pay?" in the Memphis State University Law Review in 1991. Looking towards the future, Judge Kliner intends to publish a humorous look at the transformation of life in the U.S. from the 1950's to present, in a book he has titled "Transformations of a Happy Driver."
