IRVINE, CA, February 12, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Charlotte McDowell Tagge has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

While attending college, Ms. Tagge's neighbor required assistance at their mortgage company. Driven to be of assistance, she joined the company and eventually accepted a new position with another firm that she had fostered a wonderful relationship with. Supported by her considerable expertise, Ms. Tagge began working with Beneficial Standard Life Insurance's real estate department, becoming the second woman in the history of the company to advance to the role of an officer through its subsidiary where she excelled in developing tract housing and building shopping centers, industrial parks and condominiums in Southern California.

A formerly active participant in real estate development throughout her career, Ms. Tagge served Bank of America as a vice president. During her tenure with the banking giant, she arranged a $122 million construction loan for the Ocean Club, a luxurious, Boardwalk, two 34-story, 725-unit resort. During this time, she supervised the project through its completion. Likewise, Ms. Tagge also gained valuable expertise as the senior vice president of Drexel Burnham Lambert Realty Inc., a subsidiary of the Wall Street company of the same name.

Before embarking on her professional journey, she received a four-year leadership scholarship from St. Mary's Academy where she served as student body president in her junior year to senior class president. Her family (her mother and two sisters) needed her financial help so she had to leave college before she could graduate. Working during the day, she enrolled for night school at UCLA Graduate School of Business, later known as the Anderson School of Business. Ms. Tagge earned a Certificate in Real Estate in 1966 from the University of California Extension. Ms. Tagge also studied liberal arts at Mount Saint Mary's College in Southern California. In order to remain aware of ongoing changes in finance and real estate, she aligned herself with several organizations, including the American Bankers Association, the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Mortgage Bankers Associations.
