Marquis Who's Who Honors Behrooz Bassim, MD, with Inclusion in Who's Who in the World

Dr. Bassim is a retired clinical pathologist and writer

POTSDAM, NY, February 15, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to honor Behrooz Bassim, MD, with inclusion in Who's Who in the World. An accomplished listee, Dr. Bassim celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. Bassim is a retired pathologist currently focusing on his work as the writer and publisher of several books about economics and politics. Born in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in the 1930s, his family immigrated to Iran after his father was released from a Siberian work camp. Remembering helping his mother try to treat a high fever, Dr. Bassim was initially exposed to the field of medicine in the fifth grade when he was on a tour of the morgue after accompanying his father to a building project site at Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

In 1961, Dr. Bassim earned a Doctor of Medicine from Tehran University before relocating to the United States to continue his education. After completing an internship at Barberton Citizens Hospital in Ohio, he pursued an additional residency in pathology at New York Medical College. He continued his affiliation with New York Medical College until 1979, during which time he was additionally active as an associate pathologist at Paterson General Hospital and the director of laboratories with Central St. Lawrence Health Services throughout the 1970s. Dr. Bassim subsequently established his private practice in Potsdam in 1980, and served as the director of the practice's healthcare laboratory until his retirement from medicine in 1991.

Dr. Bassim is a former member of the New York State and the Saint Lawrence County Medical Societies. Since his retirement, he has dedicated his attention and time to his work as a writer, which is informed by his decades of medical practice. He is the author of four books: "Human, Human Being, Sub-Human" in 2019, "About God" in 2019, "The Absolute Proof" and "Beyond Communism, Beyond Capitalism." He anticipates the publication of a fifth, "Virtue," in 2021. He considers himself "pro-peace and pro-climate," and jokes that he is an expert in writing "books that no one wants to read" on crucial social issues. In addition to writing books, Dr. Bassim is noted as an instrumental music enthusiast and amateur composer with several symphonic works to his credit.

He wishes to include his MESSAGE of PEACE,

"The governments of the world are upgrading their military hardware with more lethal weapons to kill more people instead of seeking peace. Indeed, Russia's main objective has been to develop a bombing system capable of penetrating the American air space while USA is developing its space force. So, where are the peace-makers at this time when the world is speeding towards a global war?

I am an atheist & I follow the teachings of Buddha, Jesus, & Voltaire. Were Buddha & Jesus wrong to teach us peace, to encourage us to take care of the poor (economic justice), & to warn us against greed? Was Voltaire wrong to wake us up to our human rights? Aren't we wrong in not taking their advice to heart?

We teach our children not to hurt others yet we send them away to war. Then, many of them return struggling with PTSD wondering what the hell did I do there? Their struggle is partly the result of the higher forebrain's recognition that killing is wrong. It seems that our forebrains have evolved beyond what we practice... Why do we deliberately empower our amygdala over our forebrain?

Why is there a ceiling on the minimum wage for the working poor & no ceiling on the maximum wage & the maximum income for the leisurely rich? Isn't this supposed to be the other way around? Who invented such a gross inversion? Was it the rich seeking to enrich themselves?

Communism & market economy have failed the world. Indeed, capitalism is good for the capitalist whereas the socialists try to push for the expansion of undignified welfare instead of pushing for the dignified 'job as a right' with living wages.

And, how can we call ourselves humans where we allow dictatorships to emerge & succeed? We need peace, not war. We need economic justice & we need to establish human rights everywhere.

An ethical politician would not lie. An ethical manufacturer would not manufacture shoddy products. An ethical population should not tolerate the liars & the way the things are... Why do we put up with a system based on lies? Is dishonesty a human right? Do you like to be lied to?

We should not tolerate the reign of the unethical. We should not turn blind eye to the present state of human rights around the world. We should not tolerate cruelty towards animals. We need ethics because we all become victimized in its absence.

The earth belongs to nature, not us. We are its self-appointed gardeners therefore responsible for its wellbeing. Yet instead, we are destroying it for the sake of extra profits in a world sickened by the principle of profit maximization. We have angered nature & she has begun to retaliate.

The world population has grown beyond nature's ability to cope with it. The stress of overpopulation feeds additional conflicts. We need impartial courts to resolve all of these conflicts in order to prevent wars. We know how to create impartial judges, why aren't we?

If we could agree on this straightforward need, millions of us could economically boycott the governments that won't abide by the verdicts of such courts. We have the potential to create this necessary change but why do we keep silence. Where is the conscience of the silent majority?

We are tolerating unconscionable levels of violence. Indeed, we are heading towards WWIII & the only way to prevent it is to establish impartial courts to replace wars & enforce global ethics.

We need millions of individuals in Europe, USA, Canada, South Korea, Japan, & elsewhere to become People Power, the magic wand, to turn this corrupt world into a paradise despite our governments.

Humanity is largely learned, violence is largely inherited. We need to have ethics & humanity engraved onto our conscience strongly & deeply in order to override the unethical drives springing from amygdala (deception, waste, & violence). We need to be or to become true humans. Why aren't we?

Ethics is the element that differentiates us from animals. Otherwise we would be the most intelligent animals with the most horrible weapons. Our neocortex has the ability to override our ancestral amygdala. We need to keep exercising it in order to evolve further into true humans. Otherwise, we would continue to revert back to our animal nature & finally self-destroy.

This is the current trajectory because we have removed ethics from the equation. In my opinion, the unethical individuals deliberately forfeit their human rights by deliberately reducing themselves to the animal level of conduct.

Let us put our military forces from various countries into world services. Let us have them support an impartial World Court as well... Why aren't we? I suppose, we are not on the right path because those in power like it the way it is...

United, we can change the course we are on. It even takes a small percentage of the people to change it. So, we can succeed if we grow into millions. Therefore, global peace & prosperity are doable. But we cannot get there if we remain unmoved & silent.

We need to have this invitation to go viral for the good of the Global Peace & Prosperity. We need to organize ourselves in every country & work collectively in order to Resolve Global Crisis."
