A seasoned medical professional with a proven track record of success in the health care and higher education industries, Ms. Nottingham excels in her current role as manager of physician relations with UVA Health. For nearly two decades, she has maintained responsibility for fostering high levels of customer service and utilized available data and market intelligence to bolster strategic business growth. Additionally, she ensures that doctors, nurses and other health care professionals remain abreast of changes in the field by introducing them to new clinical programs and clinical trials.
Before obtaining her current position, Ms. Nottingham nurtured her health care management expertise as manager of provider relations for Qual Choice of Virginia, where she served between 1995 and 2001. In a career filled with highlights, it is difficult to pinpoint one that stands out among the rest. However, she is honored to have restarted the physician relations program for UVA Health. After getting involved in the community and sitting on the Hospice of the Piedmont board for 9 years, she assisted in planning their first gala and helped raise thousands of dollars for the American Cancer Society. In 2012, she was also honored as a Distinguished Dozen by the local newspaper for her efforts.
In pursuit of her career, Ms. Nottingham earned an Associate of Arts through Virginia Commonwealth University. An alumni of the local Chamber of Commerce, she gives back to her community through Harvesting Hope and as a member of Church of Our Savior. In years past, she also served as president of the National Association of Physician Relations.
For her outstanding body of work, Ms. Nottingham has been honored on several occasions, earning an Award for Special Events, an Award of Excellence and a Volunteer of the Year Award through the American Cancer Society, the Leadership Award Qual Choice Award and a Plaque for Exemplary Leadership through AAPL. Within the next five years, Ms. Nottingham aims to be enjoying her retirement.
