CHARLOTTE, NC, February 23, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lorette Polite-Young established Young and Polite Children's dentistry alongside her husband Dr. Robert L. Young, Jr., in 2007. A licensed pediatric dentist since 2003, she previously served as an Instructor at Howard University College of Dentistry. From 1996 to 2001, Dr. Polite-Young worked as a licensed pharmacist for Walgreens pharmacy. Balancing her professional and personal life, she and Robert are raising their 4 children Ryan, Lauren, Layla and Ryler.
Prior to establishing herself as a leader in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Polite-Young pursued education at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 1996. She later obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in 2001. To remain aware of developments in her areas of interest, Dr. Polite-Young maintains her affiliations with such organizations as the American Academy of a Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society and American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
Beyond her primary responsibilities within the field, Dr. Polite-Young alongside Robert and their children created an outdoor exploration business during COVID pandemic. She has participated in numerous endeavors with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Jack and Jill of America and Silver Mount Baptist Church. She is the current President of Howard University Pediatric Dentistry Alumni Association. Notably she has always harbored a passion for working with children, especially those with special needs. In light of her exceptional undertakings, Dr. Polite-Young was selected for inclusion in Who's Who in Dentistry of North Carolina 2020.
