EDMOND, OK, February 23, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pollyette S. Milligan has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. From a young age, Mrs. Milligan has devoted her time and attention to caring for the elderly. After she and her siblings were orphaned, her great-grandmother adopted her as an infant. Eventually, her great-grandmother's two older sisters moved in with the family, and she took part in caring for all of the ladies who required assistance in many areas. In fact, Mrs. Milligan learned to administer post-cataract surgery eye drops by the age of six.
Mrs. Milligan subsequently earned an Associate of Arts in Healthcare Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Health Administration with a focus in Long-Term Care from the University of Phoenix. She also graduated with a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University, and has continued her education by now working towards her Doctorate in Business Administration with a focus in Leadership with Liberty University. Garnering her certification as a nursing assistant she worked diligently to move her career forward into administration. As a Licensed Home Health Administrator in the state of Oklahoma she began her career as the Oklahoma Executive Director of ResCare Home Care overseeing multiple Home and Community Based Services office locations. With these accomplishments in hand she finally fulfilled her dream to become an Assisted Living Administrator by becoming the Executive Director of Brookdale Village Assisted Living and Memory Care. During one of Mrs. Milligan's pro-bono consulting task she was approached to take over two newly acquired assisted living communities by an out of state owner, where Mrs. Milligan currently excels as the Executive Director of Emerald Square Senior Living and Willowood at Mustang Senior Living.
Esteemed for going beyond the call of duty to ensure that residents and staff are respected and cared for, Mrs. Milligan has worked to share her wealth of knowledge in geriatric care with others. She has received accreditation as a Google-Certified Author, having written articles on senior living for various magazines over the years. She also conducted a presentation with the Leading Age of Oklahoma titled "Seniors and Family Connections." In her community, Mrs. Milligan offers support and mentoring services to the students of various universities, as well as upcoming senior living administrators. Along with her team of managers Mrs. Milligan advocates for battered women, and works to support her staff through financial literacy, counseling, food and healthcare services, childcare and much more.
Mrs. Milligan has attributed her professional success to her team, her adoptive mother, and her husband, who has supported her endeavors by operating as a stay-at-home dad to care for their eight children. She maintains her professional affiliation with the Oklahoma Assisted Living Association and the Oklahoma Partnership for Home Care Professionals. Looking toward the future, she plans to contribute to some committees that will lead to positive change in the home care and assisted living industry for Oklahoma. Mrs. Milligan would additionally like to work toward adding a political aspect to her career in order to offer further support to Oklahoma's seniors in the years to come.
